About Us

What is the PTO?

The Copper Ridge PTO was formed in 2001 as a non-profit organization to promote the welfare of our students, facilitate a united relationship between home and school, and to support the teachers and administration both financially and in the classroom.

The PTO supports Students, Teachers and Administrators!

The PTO provides financial and volunteer support to our classrooms and administrative needs. Here is a sample of items that we fund:

  • Math and Reading Specialists
  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade classroom aides
  • Classroom enrichment where teachers are reimbursed for expenses up to $500 to enhance their teaching environments
  • School Wide wish list items are requested by the teachers and/or staff
  • The Artist in Residence program
  • Study Island software
  • Accelerated Reading program

The PTO facilitates a strong Home to School connection!

The PTO sponsors informational pieces and community events that provide communication and strong community bonds:

  • The Blazer (weekly newsletter)
  • Student Directory (published each fall)
  • CR PTO Website: www.copperridgepto.org
  • Scottsdale Parent Council Association participation
  • Community Outreach
